W is a South Korean television show that aired on MBC from July to September of 2016. The show follows the story of Kang Cheol, a former Olympic gold medalist in shooting turned successful businessman who also happens to be the lead protagonist in a popular web comic. The comic, which shares the same title as the show, was created by Cheol's father, who had passed away many years prior. One day, Oh Yeon-joo, a young resident doctor, receives a call from her father. When she meets him at his office, she finds that her father is missing and can only assume that he has entered the world of Cheol's comic. While searching for her father, Yeon-joo is accidentally transported into the webtoon, where she meets Cheol. As the story progresses, Yeon-joo and Cheol develop a relationship and work together to uncover the mysterious circumstances surrounding Cheol's family and the origins of the webtoon that has become such a huge part of his life. The show features an incredibly talented cast, including Lee Jong-suk as Kang Cheol and Han Hyo-joo as Oh Yeon-joo.
