ANT makes a pit stop in alligator country to find out what the Sunshine State has to offer. The first stop is Jacksonville, where he gets plucked, tucked, browned and tenderized with Eric, a Florida student preparing for a beauty contest. Later that day, ANT is forced to spend some quality time with the undead when he stays the night in an infamous haunted hotel. How many lesbians does it take to squeeze Ant into a wetsuit? Two, apparently. Sara and Tiphanie offer ANT a quick surf lesson in exchange for priceless wedding gift.

While visiting Texas, ANT learns that there may be more to Bush-country than meets the eye. In Austin, he runs into a gay comedian preparing to audition for Last Comic Standing ? the same show that gave ANT his start. Next, ANT finds himself on the set of Willie Nelson?s new video for ?Cowboys Are Frequently Secretly (Fond of Each Other),? where he gets a chance to line dance with some sexy cowboys. Finally, he suits up with the Lonestars, a predominantly gay rugby team and prepares for some full contact sportsmanship.

A quick visit to his home state of New Hampshire teaches ANT that times can change. First, it?s a quick game of b-ball with Team Queens vs. Team Lesbos, where ANT meets a mother and daughter who have more in common then they ever imagined. Next, ANT travels back in time and meets up with a childhood friend and teacher, finding out what it?s like to be gay in a New Hampshire high school today. Bringing his visit to a close in South Hampton, ANT spends some time with two openly gay cops and fulfills a lifelong dream of riding in a police car.

ANT drives on down to North Carolina, home of NASCAR, and discovers an accepting and progressive southern community. A quick detour finds ANT helping Mary, Karen and their children hold an impromptu picket when the local Y refuses to recognize them as a family. After spending some quality time with the kids, Uncle ANT heads over to Chapel Hill, where he meets an openly gay candidate and his partner, the first gay mayor elected in the state, who take him on a tour of the town. Bringing his visit to a close, ANT has the chance to sit down with a student who was a victim of a hate crime, but still maintains faith in his community.

ANT lands in the Deep South and finds out that for the gay folks living there, it truly is sweet home Alabama. In Birmingham, ANT befriends a lesbian construction worker who, despite being once rejected by her family, shares a message of hope and understanding. After mastering the nail gun, he meets with an openly gay minister whose call for complete religious inclusion might just cure ANT of his church-phobia. While on his spiritual marathon, ANT runs into Roxanne, a transgender woman with a loving spirit.

In the heart of Mississippi, ANT learns how diverse and accepting townspeople can be in the deep south. In a visit to a community united after the devastation caused by Hurricane Katrina, our hero teams up with an armed lesbian bounty hunter to track a fugitive looter. After fighting crime, ANT travels to the Ole Miss campus to watch a college production of Torch Song Trilogy. Topping off his visit, ANT is crowned queen in a pagan ceremony led by the lesbian witches who run Camp Sister Spirit, a safe haven for women.

ANT travels to big sky country Montana where he finds tolerance in the most unlikely places. ANT's first stop is the working-class town of Butte where he finds a group of young men and women who are rewriting the rules of sexual identity. Then, he slides on over to Bozeman and a local, trendy café opened by a friendly lesbian couple. Finally, ANT moseys onto the Lazy E-L Ranch where he meets an inspiring gay family.
