The Bobby Brown Story is a two-part miniseries that premiered on BET in 2018. Lance Gross plays Steven Sealy, Bobby's longtime friend and New Edition choreographer, while Sandi McCree plays Bobby's mother, Carole Brown. Tyler Marcel Williams rounds out the cast as a young Bobby Brown. The Bobby Brown Story explores the highs and lows of Brown's life and career, from his rise to fame with New Edition to his tumultuous relationship with Houston and his struggles with addiction and legal troubles. The series also touches on the various controversies and scandals that have plagued Brown over the years, including his alleged involvement in the death of Houston and his ongoing legal battles with his ex-wife and mother of his children, Whitney Houston.
