Saint Seiya: The Lost Canvas is a Japanese anime television series produced by TMS Entertainment, Ltd. It is a prequel to the original Saint Seiya series and is based on the manga of the same name by Shiori Teshirogi. The show premiered in 2009 and ran until 2011. The series follows the story of Tenma and his fellow Bronze Saints as they try to stop Hades, the god of the underworld, from taking over the world. The story takes place in the 18th century, several years before the events of the original Saint Seiya series. The main protagonist of the series is Tenma, a young orphan who was adopted by a wealthy family in Italy. Tenma has been gifted with incredible powers and decides to use them for the greater good. He becomes one of the Bronze Saints, a group of warriors who wear sacred armor called "Cloths" that give them special abilities and powers. The Bronze Saints are divided into three groups, based on their fighting abilities. The first group consists of the weakest members, followed by the second group of stronger members, and finally the third group of the strongest members. Tenma falls into the first group, alongside his friends Yato and Sasha, who he grew up with in Italy. Together, they set out on a mission to stop Hades from taking over the world. Hades is the main antagonist of the series, and is one of the twelve Olympian gods. He is a powerful deity who seeks to take over the world and rule as its supreme ruler. Hades is aided by his army of Specters, who are also trying to take over the world. The Specters are evil warriors who wear black Cloths and have sworn their allegiance to Hades. The show follows the adventures of Tenma and the other Bronze Saints as they fight against Hades and his minions. They travel to various parts of the world to try and stop Hades from achieving his ultimate goal. Along the way, they encounter several other characters who become part of their journey. One of the most interesting characters in the series is Albafica, the Gold Saint of Pisces. Albafica is a powerful warrior who is feared by his enemies. He is known for his incredible speed and agility, as well as his ability to manipulate poison. Albafica becomes a mentor to Tenma, and teaches him how to become a better warrior. The animation in the show is top notch, and the fights are epic and intense. The characters are well-developed, and their personalities are unique and interesting. Each character has their own strengths and weaknesses, which makes the show even more engaging.
