My Name is Earl is an American sitcom that originally aired on NBC from 2005 to 2009. The show follows the life of Earl Hickey, played by Jason Lee, a low-life criminal who discovers karma after winning the lottery and decides to turn his life around by righting the wrongs he's committed in the past. Joined by his dim-witted brother, Randy, played by Ethan Suplee, the two set out to mend their ways by making a list of all the people Earl has wronged. Along the way, they encounter a variety of colorful characters, old flames, and long-lost family members, all while trying to stay out of trouble and fulfill their mission to cross off every item on Earl's list to earn his redemption. Jaime Pressly portrays Earl's ex-wife, Joy. A brash, manipulative woman who was the cause of many of Earl's problems in the past. Joy and Earl remain at odds throughout the series as Joy tries to sabotage Earl's redemption journey at every turn. Eddie Steeples plays Darnell, a quirky employee at the local motel where Earl and Randy take up residence. He becomes Earl's confidant, offering words of wisdom and unconventional advice on how to cross off items on his list. Nadine Velazquez portrays Catalina, the feisty hotel maid who captures Earl's attention. Earl accidentally deported her back to her home country, and he makes it his mission to make amends with her. Mike Cochrane plays Officer Stuart Daniels, a police officer who is constantly at odds with Earl and Randy but eventually becomes an unlikely ally. Noah Crawford and Maggie Wheeler play Earl and Joy's son and Earl's mother, respectively. They both add to the comedic relief of the show and provide insight into Earl's troubled past. Various guest stars make appearances throughout the series, including Dale Dickey, Timothy Stack, Giovanni Ribisi, Beau Bridges, Craig T. Nelson, Mike O'Malley, Derek Mears, Malcolm David Kelley, Marlee Matlin, Larry Hankin, Beth Grant, Silas Weir Mitchell, Leo Fitzpatrick, Kadeem Hardison, and Dennis Burkley.
