My Love Patzzi is a romantic-comedy Korean drama that aired on MBC America in 2002. The show follows the story of three friends who grew up together since they were children. Na Paet-si (Jang Nara), who goes by the nickname Patzzi, is a spunky and tomboyish girl who dreams of becoming a professional taekwondo athlete. She has a crush on her childhood friend, Jeong Won (Kim Rae-won), who happens to be a popular model. One day, while participating in a taekwondo competition, Patzzi meets her new instructor, Kang Seung-joon (Kim Jaewon). Seung-joon is a good-looking and talented taekwondo athlete who has an impressive resume. Despite their clashing personalities, Patzzi and Seung-joon eventually fall for each other. However, their road to a happy ending is not an easy one. Jeong Won, who has always seen Patzzi as one of the guys, realizes that he has feelings for her too. As a result, he becomes jealous of Seung-joon and tries to win Patzzi's heart. To further complicate things, Seung-joon's ex-girlfriend, who is also a popular model, comes back into his life. Throughout the show, the characters face challenges and obstacles that test their relationships and friendships. Jeong Won, who is used to getting everything he wants, struggles with his feelings for Patzzi and the fact that he might lose her to Seung-joon. Patzzi is torn between her loyalty to her childhood friend and her growing feelings for Seung-joon. Meanwhile, Seung-joon's complicated past and his trust issues threaten to destroy his relationship with Patzzi. Despite the drama and conflicts, My Love Patzzi is a feel-good show that will leave you rooting for your favorite characters. The show's witty dialogue and comedic moments add a lightheartedness that balances out the heavier themes. The chemistry between the three main characters is palpable, and their interactions are a highlight of the show. One of the show's strengths is its portrayal of female friendship. Patzzi, her best friend Ji-hye (played by Hong Eun-hee), and Seung-joon's sister Yeon-hee (played by Yoon So-jung) have a strong bond that is tested but never broken. Their support for each other is a refreshing break from the usual cattiness seen in other dramas. Overall, My Love Patzzi is a classic Korean drama that will appeal to fans of the genre. The show's strong performances, engaging plot, and relatable characters make it a must-watch.

The episode opens as two small girls, Song Yi and Hee Won, discuss Song Yi's crush, Hyun Sung and Song Yi's intention to choose him as a seating partner. When the time comes, however, Hee Won "steals" Hyun Sung for herself, which causes Song Yi to lose her temper and attack her. Years later, the two girls are still competing. Song Yi has just been fired from another job, and Hee Won offers to get her an "easy" job at the amusement park where she works as a designer. Song Yi reluctantly accepts, and of course the two of them immediately run into an older Hyun Sung.
