I'm In The Band is a live-action, comedy-music show that aired on Disney XD from 2009 to 2011. The show follows a young boy named Tripp Campbell (Logan Miller) who dreams of being the lead guitarist of his own rock band. One day, Tripp manages to land the position of lead guitarist in the band, Iron Weasel, after winning a national contest. Iron Weasel is a has-been rock band that was famous in the 1980s but has since faded into obscurity. The band consists of Derek Jupiter (Steve Valentine) on lead vocals and guitar, Burger Pitt (Stephen Full) on bass, and Ash Tyler (Greg Baker) on drums. The band is managed by Tripp's mother, Beth (Beth Littleford), who is eager to help her son achieve his dreams. The show revolves around the trials and tribulations that the members of Iron Weasel face as they try to reclaim their former glory with Tripp as their new lead guitarist. While Derek is the egomaniacal frontman and Burger is the dim-witted and lovable goofball, Ash is the level-headed and often pragmatic member of the band. Tripp, meanwhile, is the new kid on the block who is eager to prove himself and cement his place in the band. Reginald VelJohnson portrays Darryl, the grumpy owner of the hotel where Iron Weasel lives and plays. He is often at odds with the band and their antics, but deep down he has a soft spot for them. Carlos Alazraqui plays Principal Strickland, the school principal who is often annoyed by Tripp's absences and lack of focus on academics. James Hong plays the role of Principal Doggins, Principal Strickland's rival at a neighboring school. Vanessa Parise portrays Trina Vega, Tripp's crush, and Phill Lewis plays his father. The show features a mix of comedy and music, with Iron Weasel performing various songs throughout each episode. The songs, which are written by the show's creators, are all original and range in style from punk rock to heavy metal. The musical aspect of the show is one of its major draws, with fans of all ages tuning in to hear the band's latest hits. The show also touches on themes such as friendship, family, and perseverance. Each episode sees the band go through a new set of challenges, such as trying to outperform a rival band or dealing with a difficult producer. Through it all, the members of Iron Weasel remain loyal to each other and continue to work towards their goal of becoming successful once again. In addition to the main cast, the show also features a number of guest stars, including G Hannelius, who played the role of Tripp's little sister, Piper, and James Patrick Stuart, who portrayed a record executive. Bryan Callen and Zayne Emory also appeared as recurring characters in the second season. Overall, I'm In The Band is a fun and entertaining show that will appeal to fans of music and comedy. It features a lovable cast of characters, catchy songs, and plenty of laughs along the way. Whether you're a longtime fan of the show or just discovering it for the first time, I'm In The Band is sure to leave you tapping your feet and humming its infectiously catchy tunes.
