Idiotsitter is a comedy series that originally aired on Comedy Central from 2014 to 2017. The show follows Harvard-educated Billie (Charlotte Newhouse), who takes a job as a nanny for the wealthy and outrageous Gidden family. She quickly discovers that her charge is Gene (Jillian Bell), a 30-something woman who has been placed under house arrest by her billionaire father for drunk driving. Over the course of the series, Billie becomes Gene's de facto babysitter, trying to keep her out of trouble and teach her how to behave like a functioning adult. However, Gene's wild and unpredictable behavior constantly gets in the way of Billie's plans, leading to a series of hilarious misadventures. The show is known for its zany humor and over-the-top characters, including the eccentric Gidden family members and the various individuals who come in and out of their lives. Stephen Root delivers an excellent performance as Gene's father, a larger-than-life figure who wields his wealth and power like a weapon.
