He then reveals to his son that he had a staged a deal with the Golden Triangle Secret Society to smuggle opium in exchange for getting revenge on those corrupt officials who destroyed his family. After his initial hesitation and refusal, Lee Yoon-Sung learns of his father's true intentions to use him to bring the corrupt officials down, rather than to follow his father's path of a vigilante. Yoon-Sung, being an intelligent and dedicated worker, decides to utilize his technical skills and the latest technology to help him bring the corrupt politicians to justice without anyone's knowledge, hiding under the alter ego of "City Hunter." Through City Hunter's heroic actions, he gains the attention of the president of the Blue House, and Yoon-Sung is assigned to assist Kim Na-na, an excellent martial arts fighter with an impressive record and a very strong sense of duty. City Hunter is a fascinating, fast-paced show filled with action, adventure, drama and romance. The production and costume designs are top-notch - the show's authenticity is enhanced by the splendid portrayal of the Blue House and the various outdoor locations in Seoul. The brilliant cinematography elevates the excitement level of every action sequence, and the actors' performances bring depth and sentimentality to each of their characters. He successfully portrays the dynamic struggle between his character's mission for retribution and his love for the brave Kim Na-na, played by Park Min-Young, whose active role sharpens the narrative. Together they form the show's romantic bond, enhancing its emotional depth and edge. The show also features a brilliant soundtrack, which matches the tone and pace of every scene in City Hunter, enhancing the viewers' experience. The opening theme song "It's Alright" by Yang Hwa Jin is especially catchy, and fans of the show will find themselves humming to it during non-viewing hours.
