Ganked is a 2005 comedy film directed by Kennen Ivory Wayans and starring Kel Mitchell, Natalie Raitano, Nora Farlice, and Lyric Mitchell. The film revolves around the character Devin, played by Kel Mitchell, who dreams of becoming the best gamer in the world. He spends all his free time playing video games and neglecting his schoolwork. Devin is part of a group of video game enthusiasts that includes his best friend K-rupt, played by Edwin Freeman, and two other gamers named Jasmine and Tina, played by Raitano and Farlice, respectively. They are all members of an online gaming community called Gamers Anonymous, and they spend their days and nights playing video games rather than doing anything productive. When Devin's mother hires a tutor named Tracy, played by Jessica Lee, to help him with his studies, he is initially reluctant to listen to her. However, Tracy's tough love and strict discipline start to have an impact on him, and he slowly begins to make progress in his schoolwork. Meanwhile, the members of Gamers Anonymous are preparing for an upcoming video game tournament, which they believe will be their chance to achieve fame and fortune. However, things take a unexpected turn when they realize that their arch-rival, a gamer named Marcus, played by Dorien Wilson, has stolen their gaming prototype and plans to use it to win the tournament. Determined to reclaim their prototype and win the tournament, Devin and his friends hatch a plan to infiltrate Marcus's mansion and steal it back. Along the way, they encounter a variety of obstacles and challenges that test their skills and their friendship. One of the film's strengths is the chemistry between the cast members, particularly Mitchell and Freeman, who play off of each other well and provide some of the film's funniest moments. The supporting cast also shines, with Raitano and Farlice bringing energy and humor to their roles as the female members of Gamers Anonymous. Ganked is a fun and lighthearted film that will appeal to anyone who enjoys video games or slapstick comedy. It doesn't take itself too seriously and doesn't try to be anything more than what it is: a goofy, entertaining romp through the world of gaming. While it may not be a particularly deep or thought-provoking film, it's definitely worth a watch for anyone looking for a good laugh.
