If you like Adam Sandler and Kevin James, then you will absolutely love this movie. Based on 5 good friends who went to high school together and went on to live their own lives, they learn about their basketball coach dying and all come together to attend his funeral. Adam Sandler plays Lenny who has become rich and allowed the money to go to his head. He is married to Salma Hayek in the movie and they share three children, two sons and a daughter. Salma plays a fashion designer who has just a day to attend the funeral before departing to Paris for fashion week. Before she knows it, she is staying for another day and missing out on some of the festivities of fashion week. Also in the movie, Chris Rock, is a stay at home father who is married to Deanne who is pregnant and her mother resides with them. He has a great, funny interaction with his mother in law and you find the two of them arguing in almost every scene. The interaction between the two of them is almost something to see all in itself. The next comedian that makes this movie enjoyable is Rob Schneider. This character plays a divorcee who has three daughters. Two of them we see at the beginning of the movie while the other is not shown until much further into the movie. The two daughters that you see the most of are beautiful and all the guys drool over them. When the third daughter comes into play, we start to see where she gets her looks from. The other two daughters evidently look like their mother while the third resembles her father. When you combine all these comedians together, it is sure to be a crowd pleaser with all the laughs. There is not really a dull moment in the whole movie. Towards the middle of the movie, you start to see that the goal of the movie is to show you that your true friends are your friends no matter what the circumstance. The death of the basketball coach has brought five good friends from high school back together with their wives and families and each one of them benefits from weekend getaway vowing that they will keep in touch more often and spend more time together. This movie not only is a comedy that keeps you laughing throughout the whole thing but also is a tear jerker somewhat.
